Abstract:

Different kinds of instability in a medium with a density varying due to a progressive pumpwave are studied and it is found that the dispersive ionized medium yields possibilities for traveling wave parametric amplification. Askne Transient wave response of a symmetric ionized Epstein layer is examined.
