Abstract:
The ways in which coordination may alter the rates or reaction paths of typical ligand reactions were studied. Emphasis was placed on the possibility that coordination might provide a masking for ligands to prevent their attack by otherwise effective oxidants. The possibilities that coordination might provide information on some reaction mechanisms or provide a path to facilitate a reaction were also studied. Examples of all of the above reactions were found and data collected. Author
