A molecular beam apparatus for the measurement of dipole moments and polarizabilities by the electric deflection method was designed and is now essentially complete. A quadrupole mass filter is used as a detector. The system is completely bakeable to 400C and uses modulated beam techniques for improved signal-to-noise ratios. Author
