It is shown that a Watson-Watt direction finder operating under conditions of wave interference will give information allowing a digital bearing computer to determine the directions of arrival of a signal. It is shown that a two-element interferometer operating under conditions of wave interferences can be used with a digital bearing computer operating on one branch of an arc tangent function. This is used to propose a new type of interferometer designed specifically to work with a digital computer. Author
