Abstract:

This document presents the formulation, computational logic, and coding information developed for the purpose of tracking an artificial earth satellite in an open-loop mode. The program was developed as a FORTRAN IV, IBM 7094 program which uses the standard North American Aviation monitor system NAASYS version 13. The logic presented is intended for use in developing a similar program for the Packard Bell 250 digital computer. The trajectory prediction portion of the program is a general perturbation formulation developed by Anthony G. Lubowe of Bell Telephone Laboratories. The tracking portion of the program can accept as many as ten tracking stations and outputs range, range-rate, azimuth and elevation data.
