Part I of this report describes the phenomenology and theory of the magneto-optic Kerr effect. This second part describes the design of an electronic polarimeter for the detection and measurement of small changes in the orientation of linearly polarized light with the precision of a few seconds of arc. The procedure for the measurement of the complex index of refraction and the magneto-optic Kerr effect of ferromagnetic materials is discussed. Author
