Abstract:

The spurs, visible in maps of low frequency radio emission at intermediate and high galactic latitudes, can be connected to form one single feature, passing close to the galactic poles and crossing the galactic plane under right angles. Because of its shape and its relation with the Galactic System it is unlikely that the spurs are relatively close by and that they are remnants of supernovae. Author
