This paper presents the results of a radar investigation of wind field structure in the atmospheric surface boundary layer. The observational method and results are described, and the latter are compared with the data of other authors. The effect of the entrainment of particles on the results of radar measurements of wind speedvariations and the effect of variations of wind speed and direction on the accuracy of rawin observations are discussed.
