Abstract:

Twelve dogs were subjected to the action of accelerations within the limits of 2.4 - 14.5g, the time ranging from 4 to 20 minutes. In the internal ear of dogs, the venous circulation became disturbed, this resulting in protracted hemorrhages in the perilymphatic spaces of the cochlea and subepithelial connective tissue of sace and ampules. Hemorrhages in the internal ear resolved much slower than hemorrhages occuring in the middle ear or in the internal acoustic meatus. Author
