Abstract:

In the various theories of flame propagation which are being checked against experimental results for hydrogen -bromine flames, such factors as the temperature and the concentrations of various reagents may be critical parameters. Calculations of such values were made using the accepted mechanism of reaction. Since later comparisons of theoretical and experimental data must be considered in terms of the uncertainties inherent in theoretical values, the methods of calculation and data used are outlined here.
