Abstract:

Contact-pulse sampling of the substance of an Al-Zn alloy of various composition with subsequent combustion of the sample in an ac arc and recording of line intensity by means of a FES-1 was investigated. This method makes it possible to obtain in logarithmic coordinates a linear dependence of the absolute and relative intensities of the zinc and aluminum lines on the concentration of these elements for a very wide interval. The role of polarity in contact-pulse sampling of test alloys was investigated and it was demonstrated that the angular coefficient of the dependence lgI flgC for the aluminum line is greater with a positive polarity and for the zinc line with a negative polarity.
