TEMPERATURE SENSING SYSTEM FOR MANOMETRIC THERMOMETERS,
FOREIGN TECHNOLOGY DIV WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OHIO
Pagination or Media Count:
A temperature sensing system for manometric thermometers containing a thermal bulb and a capillary is described. To extend the upper limit of temperature measurement to 1200C an alloy containing 66.8 to 67.2 gallium, 10.3 to 10.7 indium, and 12 to 13 tin is used as a filler. The thermal bulb is made of a material that is stable to the filler at high temperatures, for example, alundum or some other ceramic or ceramet material.
