Tests to measure draw load reduction versus draw velocity at a constant energy density were repeated for tinned copper wire. It was found that with a pure sine wave input at the resonant frequency nominally 20 kilocycles per second of the system, that parasitic frequencies were self-induced in the wire. The pattern and distribution of energies among the various waves were responsible for further decreases in draw load. Author
