Abstract:

In Yes - No psychophysical experiments assume that the greater the intensity of the stimulus, the greater the probability of a Yes response. On the basis of this assumption a the relationships between the method of limits and the method of constant stimuli are derived, b a procedure for comparing data obtained by the two methods is recommended, c a procedure for comparing ascending and descending series within the method of limits is given.
