Abstract:

The infrared radiation properties and characteristics of titanium-boronitride were investigated in the wavelength region extending from 1.0 to 10.0 microns at a temperature of 1300 K. The normal spectral emissivity, integrated normal total emissivity, and infrared radiation intensity curves of this material for two different surface conditions were determined. Additional radiation studies were made using a mathematical interpretation based on the normal total emissivity and weight-to-density ratios of the individual constituents. Author
