Abstract:
The document reports the results of an investigation of the need for a permanent flight control data and information exchange program. Direct mail questionnaires were used to solicit the opinions of flight control specialists. The results of the opinion survey are summarized. Three major abstracting and announcement media were critically examined from the standpoint of identifying information relevant to flight control systems. A literature survey was also conducted to determine the current status of technical documentation and dissemination. A group of specialized information centers of interest to flight control specialists are described. Based upon the findings, the general structure and guidelines are presented for a specialized information center designed solely to satisfy the information needs of flight control specialists. Author
