Abstract:
The paper describes an attempt to determine the velocity of ice movement within a glacier by geophysical methods. The most applicable methods in this connection are those of electric surveying those of magnetic surveying are more limited. In the present case both these methods were used to determine the velocities of movement of the internal ice-strata in the Central Tuyuksu glacier of the Trans-Ili Alatau.
