Abstract:

The objective of this study was to define the state of the art pertaining to the design and analysis of both homogeneous and reinforced concrete deep beams. The study was accomplished by reviewing information found in thirty references, i.e. technical journals and reports. Each of the references is summarized, the important conclusions resulting from the study are presented, and recommendations are made as to needs for additional study. Author
