Abstract:
A theoretical and experimental investigation was made of the application of feedback to semiconductor energy sensors. By the application of feedback the sensor becomes an energy comparator with improved dynamic response. The comparator characteristics are determined by their physical mechanical characteristics towards their environment and are practically independent of the electrical sensor characteristics. Simple compensation over a wide temperature is then often possible. Practical applications are discussed and evaluated such as, temperature measurement, RMS measurement, pressure measurement and radiation measurement. Author
