INTERACTION BETWEEN SELF-ACTING AND EXTERNALLY PRESSURIZED EFFECTS IN A FOIL BEARING.
AMPEX CORP REDWOOD CITY CALIF
Pagination or Media Count:
For a foil bearing, the interaction between the flow of lubricant from feed holes and the flow in from the surrounding environment is calculated numerically. The results are applicable for a partial arc foil bearing whenever the feed holes are far from both ends of the wrap angle. The report extends the linearized solution into the nonlinear range. Author
