Abstract:
A meta-socratic method for conducting conferences suggested. The guiding principles are 1 Do not take a position either for or against start anywhere and be free to roam widely. Avoid all assumptions as to fact when facts become germane, begin by asking how facts are to be established Adopt an attitude of not being defensive. 2 Use the meta-question freely, this question stimulating a creative mental process instead of evoking an automatic predetermined answer. 3 Make an objective of facilitating the other persons communication. 4 Let the experience of the conference be an important objective. 5 Play down the urge to inform. 6 Enjoy yourself.
