The report summarizes the task of developing a method of unscrambling a complex homogenization of individual exponential functions. Essentially the problem reduces to, given a set of experimental data known to consist of a series of different exponential decay functions, find each of these functions. The mathematical technique chosen for the investigation was that of non-linear least-squares. Utilizing the method of least squares, a computer program was written, BRAT Biological Retention Analysis Technique in Kingstran for the IBM-1620. The program itself was taylored for the USAF Radiological Health Laboratories, although its application to fitting of other compositions with exponential decay is obvious e.g. the determination of radioactive decay chains by half-life, Bio-assay, etc..
