The digital circuits that have been built and tested have shown satisfactory performance over the required environmental conditions and have operated near or below the power dissipation estimates made earlier in the design. The digital circuits are capable of being packaged in miniature high density packages. Considering present developed techniques, the thin-film approach is the most promising to achieve the performance at the power dissipations of the developed digital circuits. The phase comparatorlow-pass filter is the major progblem toward achieving a spurious level goal of 90 db. A 70-db spurious level is more realistic. The configuration of this area requires considerably more work for a conclusion. The multioscillator approach 15 to cover the 2- to 33-mc band is becoming more feasible. The output combining circuits have presented no problems. The power dissipation is in the order of earlier goals. The problem with this approach is the future miniature packaging. The configuration is foreseen as a hybrid thin-film circuit. Sufficient progress has not been made in the output circuits to draw conclusions. Author
