The report presents the results and conclusions obtained from an experimental program investigating the structural dynamic stability of an elastic model of a manned rotating space station. Stability criteria for this aerospace configuration were theoretically derived and model tests were performed to substantiate these stability criteria and to demonstrate that an elastic instability of such configurations is possible.
