Priority implementation in both saturation signaling and direct routing procedures was studied in detail. Also, reported are the same two priority methods as programmed in the saturation signaling and direct routing simulators. A consideration of character identification codes led to definition of a method for PBX call addressing and a breakdown of internode processing time. The characteristics of a revised message generator program are discussed. An analytical method is elaborated to combine voice and data traffic loads different holding times on a link for determining how many trunks the link should have for a given link grade of service.
