Three geodetic control points and an isolated baseline were taken and brought together into a first-order triangulation system. This system can be classified only first-order within itself since the starting coordinates of STATE and PHYSICS are at best a high second-order value. The Department of Geodetic Science at the Ohio State University now has this small scale first-order net for use in continuing geodetic work in triangulation, trilateration, and gravity surveying. Coordinates are furnished for all points in three systems, the City of Columbus Survey, the Ohio State-Plane Coordinate, and geographic positions used primarily by the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey.
