The gain in knowledge accruing through use of telephonic adjunct training was investigated among individuals of limited formal education. The results indicated that both adjunct augmented telephonic training and adjunct augmented reading were more effective than either reading or unaugmented telephonic training for presenting attack survival material to this sample of subjects. The two prior studies in the program are reviewed, and the implications of the overall programs results for public education in civil defense are discussed. Author
