Abstract:
Minimal-power digital circuitry, while a necessity for spacecraft operation, has advantages which apply to both space-borne and ground-based digital data processing. Some of the low-power digital circuit design efforts are presented in which Lincoln Laboratory has been engaged for the past few years. These techniques have been employed in a number of scientific satellites and space probes similar designs are to be used in the Lincoln Experimental Satellite LES. The influence of new semiconductor devices upon the minimal- power concept is discussed.
