Abstract:

A class of identities was introduced in the theory of linear second order differential equations for which the name of Greens transforms was proposed. Such a transform serves to delimit in the complex plane the regions where a given solution can have zeros. But the transform can be used for other purposes than to obtain zero free regions. It was used to study integrability and growth properties of solutions. In the present paper the same technique is utilized in a study of the singular boundary problem of Hermann Weyl.
