Abstract:
Data available for use in estimating Cobb-Douglas production functions are frequently aggregated unsuitably. This paper reports the results of some distributionsampling experiments conducted to investigate the effects of unsuitable aggregation. It is found that the usual least-squares estimates are biased. Misaggregation also seriously affects the performances of certain tests of hypotheses which were investigated. Author
