The report consists of four independent sections 1 Tschebycheff Approximation and Threshold Functions provides, among other things, a new characterization of threshold functions - a function is a threshold function if and only if its Tschebycheff-best linear real approximation realizes it. 2 Properties of Threshold Functions defines a system of unifying properties of threshold functions which incorporate k-monotonicities and k-dualmonotonicities the ideas are applied to yield a strong and important new characterization of threshold functions for specific n. 3 On Threshold Functions Through n 7 reports the methods used in, and implications of, an enumeration published elsewhere. 4 A Burst ErrorCorrecting Code discusses a new code, suitable for use in batch-fabricated memories, which requires extremely simple encoding-decoding equipment.
