Abstract:
The report discusses performance evaluation in the training environment, specifically in training situations involving the use of simulators and other complex training equipment. The important variables involved in developing a system of performance evaluation are seen as 1 types of behaviors, 2 types of measures or mensural indices, and 3 types of instruments for recording performance. Factors relating to these variables are discussed, and some of their interrelationships are delineated. Matrices which facilitate the consideration of interrelationships among the three variables are presented. An illustrative application of an automatic trainingevaluation system is given. Author
