The preparation and study of 55 new highly chlorinated compounds, including 31 chlorocarbons, 4 perchloroketones, 4 perchloroacids and 4 perchloroesters is reported. The chlorocarbons consist of derivatives of toluene, xylene, styrene, stilbene, p-xylylene, diphenylmethane, biphenyl, anthracene, phenanthren, fluorene, and benzene and biphenyl polymeric chlorocarbons.
