During the period from 24 June to 14 September 1964, there were thirteen thunderstorms which caused damage to TFSO instrumentation. All but four of the eighty-eight seismograph systems were damaged by from one to eight of the storms. The extent of the damage per storm ranged from 2 to 56 of the seismometer circuits. With a few exceptions which are noted below, damage was confined to the lightning protection devices, i.e., fuses and carbon block spark gaps. Damage is tabulated.
