The purpose of this work is to start from typical seasonal profiles of atmospheric conditions for Miami, Florida, and step by step develop a model of atmospheric refractivity which is satisfactory for such a warm, moist climate. Theoretical ray paths are traced through this type of atmosphere at various antenna elevations and are summarized in the form of range-height charts. Height anomalies from the standard atmosphere using the 43-earth-curvature assumption are also illustrated.
