Abstract:

Researches were conducted on a group of nine persons men of average age, physically healthy the content in the blood of hemoglobin was determined by Salis method as well as the number of erythrocytes and leucocytes computation in Goryaevs chamber the reaction of the lowering of erythrocytes was investigated by Panchenkovs method the viscosity of the blood was tested with Hesss viscosimeter and the ratio of white blood cells was determined by Schillings method. The first series of investigations was conducted under normal conditions on the ship at the time of proceeding to Antarctica and taken as the starting norm--the others at different periods when wintering at the Vostok station.
