Abstract:

The purpose of the program covered by this report was to develop an all solid state, electronically tunable, low noise amplifier covering the frequency range 300 to 1000 cps. The equipment described includes wideband tunnel diode and transistor amplifiers, and two types of electronically tunable filters - one employing magnetic tuning of an yttrium iron garnet resonator, and the other voltage tuning of a variable capacitance diode.
