Abstract:

The functional equation technique of the theory of dynamic programming is applied to the problem of determining the minimum of the maximum deviation of a system from a preassigned state. The problem is that of choosing y, a vector function of t, so as to minimize the maximum deviation of xt from a given vector zt, over a fixed interval O t T.
