Abstract:

It is shown that in a memoryless robot some specifications require approximately 2 to the n-th cells. The proof depends on the realistically unavoidable assumption that there is some maximum number of endbulbs that can contact any one cell. It is also shown that no significant economies can be achieved by assigning more complex properties to the synapse. Author
