Abstract:

This memorandum examines the impact of prelaunch operations on the probability of successful R and D missile or space system launch and mission completion. To do this, the nature of equipment life characteristics is examined and data presented secondly, methods aimed toward finding the amount of ground operation that minimizes the effect of life variations are discussed from this follow the test planning and cost implications.
