Abstract:
Forty-two female hooded rats were trained to discriminate between two stimuli, and then tested for transposition on pairs of stimuli which were varying distances from the training stimuli. Subjects that failed to transpose immediately did so as testing under non-differential reinforcement continued. The results agree with the adaptation level interpretation, but do not agree with a stimulus response, or a relational interpretation. Author
