Abstract:

An analysis of 25,201 days of sunchine observations at Boston, Mass., and 21,184 days of observations at Columbia, Missouri, shows that below average sunchine is observed between New Moon and First Quarter and between Full Moon and Last Quarter while above average sunshine occurs between First Quarter and Full Moon and between Last Quarter and New Moon. Data from other stations will be studied to determine whether similar departures are observed at other locations. Author
