Abstract:

An improvement was achieved in sphere surface finish, resulting in reduced linewidths. The RASOR program proceeded satisfactorily. Encapsulation fixtures were constructed which increase the efficiency of alignment and encapsulation. A technique for establishing a correction factor was devised, which enhances the accuracy of the linewidth measurement system. Limiters were high power tested in S band with preliminary tests performed in L band. Temperature stability testing was initiated in C band. Ten batches of single crystal material was fired this quarter. Satisfactory progress was indicated in the quality of the crystals derived. Author
