Abstract:

An anomalous intermediate, C5H10N20S, was obtained during the preparation of the disulphide of 2-2-mercaptoethylamino2-oxazoline. X-ray crystal-structure analysis established the intermediate as a substituted thiazoline, 2-2-hydroxyethylamino-2-thiazoline.
