The effects of total body irradiation on 112 adults with disseminated cancer are summarized. This data has been collected over a ten year period. Tables are presented showing the dose rate, the time intervals between irradiation, and the survival time of the patients. The reaction of white blood cells and granulocytes following varying radiological doses and the effect of bone marrow injections following irradiation are described with case histories, charts, and graphs. An annotated bibliography containing 78 reports selected from a review of more than 600 reports lists the organism used in the study, the amount of radiation used, and the findings for each of these reports. This literature search covers the period from 1967 through 1962.
