Abstract:

This report covers a test of the rammer system of the 3-in.70 Caliber Pilot Mount Mark 28 Mod. 0. The purpose of the test was to determine the minimum ramming velocity for high angles of gun elevation to obtain satisfactory chambering of rounds and closing of the breech.
