Abstract:
A unit has been designed and tested that will permit the operation of one, two, three, or four TDZ or RDZ equipments from a single antenna. When the equipments are operating with a frequency separation of at least 6 mc, the unit has an insertion loss below 3 db, averaging between 1.0 and 1.5 db. When two transmitters are operating with 4-mc separation, a cross-modulation level better than 30 db below 100 modulation is maintained. Losses of more than 10 db may be encountered when two equipments are operating with a 0.8-mc separation. A complete unit was constructed, with provision for automatic tuning that may be controlled from the associated equipment. Author
