This report describes the design techniques and computer programs of the RADC Assembly Program RADCAP. Phase 1 can be described as three tasks. The first concentrated on studies of floatability, segmentation, and rollback and recovery aspects of a time-shared assembler. The second task, known as the Stage 1 Assembler, was an off-line assembler that produced object code to operate in a time-shared environment. These two tasks are contained in Volume 1 of this report. The third task of Phase 1 was the implementation of RADCAP under control of the Executive Control Program Volume 2. The second major phase of work consisted of a set of five tasks 1 Basic mathematical subroutine library and a library maintenance program 2 a report generator 3 program debugging package 4 RADCAP programming manual and 5 study of dynamic program structures.
