The principles of nuclear resonance are discussed and the Bloch equations for free passage through the region of resonance are given. Similarly, the general connections between the resonance and structural parameters are determined for stable paramagnets and for organic and metallic compounds. Also discussed are the possibilities of applications of the phenomenon of nuclear resonance to the measurement and stabilization of a magnetic field and to measurement of the flow of paramagnetic fluids and magnetic susceptibility.
