Abstract:

This study deals with reliability only as it is affected by a rating procedure. It is an attempt to determine in what way reliability of ratings is affected by forcing the distribution of ratings. On the basis of the data presented here, it is concluded that the reliability of ratings is not significantly affected by forcing the ratings into a symmetrical, essentially normal distribution.
